The course covers essential concepts in GI medicine, recent clinical advances in gastroenterology and liver disease, and the diagnosis and management of disorders in the esophagus, stomach and duodenum, small and large bowel, pancreas, liver, and other organs in the GI system. It also focuses on current guidelines and recent advances in the field.

Program
The program consists of eight sessions, each covering a different aspect of gastroenterology and hepatology. The sessions and topics include:
- Session 1: Liver I – Covers GI board tips and tricks, interpretation of liver tests, viral hepatitis, drug-induced liver injury, portal hypertension, hepatocellular carcinoma, and nonalcoholic fatty liver disease.
- Session 2: Liver II – Focuses on high-yield liver questions for the GI boards, metabolic liver diseases, autoimmune hepatitis, primary sclerosing cholangitis, viral hepatitis C, liver disease and pregnancy, and liver transplantation.
- Session 3: Pancreas and Biliary – Covers pancreatic anatomy and physiology, acute pancreatitis, cystic neoplasms of the pancreas, chronic pancreatitis, biliary tract disease, ERCP and EUS, and GI cancer.
- Session 4: Esophagus and Stomach – Focuses on foregut motility disorders, esophagus anatomy and motility disorders, and gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), EoE, and Barrett’s esophagus.
- Session 5: Pathology, Endoscopy, and Vascular Disorders – Covers gastrointestinal pathology, liver histopathology, non-variceal gastrointestinal bleeding, vascular diseases of the GI tract, and gastrointestinal endoscopy.
- Session 6: Inflammatory Bowel Disease and Small Intestine – Focuses on inflammatory bowel disease, IBD therapeutics, clinical cases, nutrition for the GI boards, and small bowel mucosal disease.
- Session 7: Colon – Covers hereditary colorectal cancer syndromes, colorectal cancer screening, diarrhea, non-IBD colitis
