ASE: Proper Echocardiographic Measurements: How & Why 2nd Edition

This 2nd Edition of Proper Echocardiographic Measurements: How and Why is an evidence-based product focused on the methods used to obtain measurements, including explanations describing why such methods are appropriate. This educational tool comprises a combination of didactic lectures and clinical questions. It can be used as a review for experienced sonographers, as well as a training tool for new or early-career sonographers and others who are interested in the practice of cardiovascular ultrasound. Topics include imaging measurements (2D vs. M-mode, LV linear dimensions, basal cardiac measurements, LV volume, LA volume, inferior vena cava, right heart, strain, and 3D echo: LV volume) as well as velocity measurements (spectral Doppler, mitral inflow, mitral annulus, pulmonary vein, mitral stenosis, mitral regurgitation, tricuspid regurgitation, aortic valve, and HOCM).
